About Us
Established in 1968, Benalla Art Gallery is one of Australia's most important and respected regional galleries.
Situated in the heart of Victoria’s bushranger country, the Benalla Art Gallery occupies a striking modernist building by Lake Benalla.
The Gallery presents an exhibition program of Australian and international art, in addition to the permanent collection which includes elements of the region’s history recounting an Australian-European settlement story. The collection continues to develop with an expanding collection of Australian contemporary art.
The collection is complimented by dynamic temporary exhibitions and a diverse range of public programs and events.
